I have decided to change course a bit from detailing the story of three girls from Casco, Maine and reflect on the Salem Witch Trials through a Gender, Women, and Sexuality studies and Anthropology lens. Why were the majority of accused witches women? How is term “witch” utilized in political warfare? Are there witch hunts today?
